i nver said you need to look at previous rps. You can oftenly tell from just how they act and write on the site, of what kind they are. You, example given, are a person i would write or rp with. I never give my skype on here as well, i let my partners give it to me, because i did so once, with another skype account, and after 30 minutes i had like 40 contact requests from some idiots mostly.
I know this website is not theirs, but it's "kinda" the same type of community.
I've been there for something like 3 weeks or so. I can totally agree to what you're saying, I just don't think that there's only bad things. Drama is everywhere tbh, we just need to ignore it.
It really is rough to find some decent rp´s, but if you select carefully and watch their previous on-site activity, you can still find them here. You just really have to ignore your way past those bad ones.

I am also talking from experience since I have been in that server for long, but have finally left, because of the drama and the people there. I can guarantee that you will regret joining after a couple of months and the decent RPers / or people in general have left that hole a long time ago. It may seem that I am overreacting or I am butthurt for some reason, but that's not the case - as I said I have left a long time ago and have nothing related to them anymore. I'm just trying to save you a few months of having a bad time there full of drama, but if you want to go and see for yourself - you are free to do that. It's also sad that you cannot find a good server for roleplaying, so I just gave up on using discord for RPs (I see the same people everywhere).

Stop spamming about your server man, because all of the people there are young boys acting like a 12yo girl during her period. This is really the most toxic community, right after you join someone will start complaining and it's even worse if you follow the chat all day. From my experience 95% of the people there have some kind of serious personal issues (they are really depressed or staying at psychiatric hospitals) and I am not even joking. I enjoyed staying there during January 2017, but now it's really awful and toxic. If I have to mention the RP thing - if you post in LFP and you play as a female, you'd get a bunch of requests, but sadly none of them has any experience in roleplaying and they respond with 1 line.
